Ravi Kapur Says Yes to Ventana LPTV Stable

It’s a deal consummated on October 31 but not filed for FCC regulatory approval until now. And, it sees one of the biggest names in South Asian-focused media in the U.S. agree to purchase 22 low power television stations in various markets across the nation.


Ravi Kapur and his Major Market Holdings LLC are moving ahead with the purchase of the following LPTV properties from Ventana Television Inc.:

If you’re familiar with the Ventana licensee name but can’t place it, perhaps the letters QVC and HSN can connect the dots, as technical representative John Collinson is based at QVC’s West Chester, Va., operations.

Details were not included in the redacted asset purchase agreement, with the price being paid withheld from the public.
