Ravi Kapur has made a name for himself not only as a broadcast TV journalist but also as the man behind South Asian-focused network Diya TV.
Kapur has also been a buyer of broadcast TV stations, and he’s now struck a deal to add a low-power TV facility in the state of Washington to his collection of assets. It’s thanks to a deal with Jeff Winemiller.
Winemiller, a prolific buyer and seller of LPTV properties through his Lowcountry 34 Media, is agreeing to part ways with K15MW-D in Bellingham, Wash., the largest city south of the border between British Columbia and the state of Washington.
A $200,000 purchase price has been agreed upon, with a $10,625 downpayment made to Pohlman Law Group of Ashburn, Va.
There is no broker or finder associated with this transaction, which sees Kapur’s Major Market Broadcasting of Washington as the buyer.
Serving as Jeff Winemiller’s legal counsel is Davina Sashkin of Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP.
