Randy Savage dead at 58

Veteran WWE star Randy “Macho Man” Savage died Friday after his vehicle crashed in Florida. He was 58.


According to Fox News, Savage (whose real name was Randy Poffo) suffered a heart attack while driving in Seminole, FL, which led to the Jeep Wrangler striking a tree. His wife, who was a passenger, was injured. Savage died after being taken to a hospital.

Along with Hulk Hogan, Savage helped build the WWE into a major entertainment company. The company issued a statement mourning his death. The WWE said Savage had been under contract for its pro wrestling shows from 1985 to 1993.
