Radio Talkers descend on DC

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has been sponsoring Hold Their Feet to the Fire to press views on the topic on the Inside the Beltway crowd with the able assistance of 50 radio talk show hosts. They are there right now.

FAIR said, “Fifty talk radio hosts from around the nation will broadcast their programs from the Phoenix Park Hotel on Capitol Hill on May 8 and 9, discussing immigration policy with members of Congress, state legislators, law enforcement officials, and other policy experts.”

“Hold Their Feet to the Fire 2012 will focus on efforts by the Obama administration to carry out an unlegislated backdoor amnesty for millions of illegal aliens under the guise of ‘prosecutorial discretion,’ and Congress’s failure to respond to the usurpation of its authority to make immigration policy,” said FAIR in a statement. “Talk radio hosts will also examine the likelihood of new state measures intended to discourage illegal aliens from settling or remaining in those jurisdictions. The U.S. Supreme Court is widely expected to uphold key provisions of Arizona’s immigration enforcement law, S.B. 1070, which would provide clear guidelines for other states.”

The event will cover the two radio drive times in the eastern time zone and everything in between – it runs daily from 6AM to 7PM
