The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) is augmenting the schedule of panel discussions offered to 2019 NAB Show attendees by offering four sessions featuring speakers versed on the power of radio — and why many in town mainly to learn about digital technologies or next-gen TV’s addressable advertising possibilities should pay attention to what some pro-radio professionals call the world’s first social media platform.

On Monday, April 8 at 10:40am, an 80-minute session in Room N260-C will shine a spotlight on Yaman Coskun, founder of Yamanair Creative.

In this session, “Radio Engage,” attendees will be given tips on how to make a connection with listeners through strong creative.

Later on April 8, from 1:30pm-2:50pm, in Room N260-A, a focus on radio — and television — small and medium-sized markets is under the Vegas spotlight, as experts share case studies and their profitable revenue generating ideas and strategies.

The panelists:

  • Brandy Carter, General Sales Manager, Entercom/New Orleans
  • Jeff Zimmerman, VP and Director of Sales, Univision/Dallas

On Tuesday, April 9, at 10:40am-noon, in Room N256, the first in a two-part session sees RAB President/CEO Erica Farber talk with industry futurist and local media analyst Gordon Borrell on how digital and data continue to reshape the advertising landscape and how successful companies are adapting to this disruption and accelerating their business growth.

Panelists who will add to the discussion, following Borell’s fireside chat with Farber, include some heavyweights: Townsquare Media CEO Bill Wilson, Hubbard Broadcasting and 2060 Digital Sr. Director/Digital Sales Strategy Steve Goldstein, and Univision VP/Local Digital Sales, U.S. Michelle Savoy.

On April 10 at 9am, an 80-minute session in Room N254 dives in to the world of media seller.

“In this fast-paced session, learn to embrace disruption, adopt new ideas, and maintain what makes traditional media vital and vibrant in the new media landscape,” the RAB promises.

Sharing their thoughts and findings are two RAB executives: SVP/Professional Development Jeff Schmidt and Manager/Professional Development Georgia Beasley.
