National Radio Talent System (NRTS), a division of the Radio Advertising Bureau, is preparing for a “relaunch” of the original Missouri Broadcasters Association (MBA) talent institute at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

Hubbard Radio and the SBA are the underwriters, making the new Hubbard/MBA Radio Talent Institute possible.

The institute will take place in person July 17-26, 2023.

The talent incubator spans 10 days and is led by broadcast professionals that bring their real-world industry knowledge from around the state and country to educate students.

College students from universities throughout the state and region apply to be accepted into the Hubbard/MBA Radio Talent Institute. This provides an ideal networking pool for students with a wide variety of potential interests within the classroom for industry professionals to identify and actively recruit from. Upon completion of the Institute, students can further their networking opportunities due to the ability to access the National Radio Talent System’s Career Center.

“We are delighted to have the Missouri Broadcasters Association back as a partner along with Hubbard Radio,” said RAB President/CEO Erica Farber. “Collaborating with Mark Gordon at the MBA and a world-class broadcasting company like Hubbard Radio enables us to relaunch the program to further help develop the next generation of broadcasters.”

“The MBA is proud to again be a sponsor of the Radio Talent Institute,” said Missouri Broadcasters Association President/CEO Mark Gordon. “I have seen firsthand how this program has helped students determine the direction they want to take in their future, and I wish something like this was available when I was in school!”

“At Hubbard Radio St. Louis our mission is to make talent acquisition a priority. We develop leaders to build dominant brands that connect our audience, community and business partners. We are so pleased to partner with the MBA to sponsor the Radio Talent Institute,” said John Kijowski, vice president and market manager, Hubbard Radio St. Louis.

As previously announced, Confer Radio Talent Institute, GAB Radio Talent Institute and Kellar Radio Talent Institute will also be returning in 2023 along with the inaugural IBA Radio Talent Institute.
