Q1 State Of NYC Radio Rev Revealed

The New York Market Radio Association (NYMRAD) has released its Q1 2017 State of the New York Market Report. The analysis of the marketplace is designed to help advertisers understand radio’s impact on consumers and its prominent role in the local advertising landscape. The extensive report assesses the New York area economy, including business drivers, and provides up-to-date consumer research on music consumption, and radio usage.

In addition to the New York market, this quarter’s report places additional emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry and professional services. Professional services include legal, accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll and beauty services.

NYMRAD Executive Director Debbie Beagan said, “The New York area has the largest number of radio listeners and in Q1 ’17 that translated to nearly 15.7 million people —nearly 90% of the NY Metro each week. When you combine that broad reach with the targetability that Radio formats offer, plus the personal connection that listeners have for their favorite air personalities and stations, Radio is clearly a great opportunity for marketers to connect with New York area consumers.”

The NYMRAD State of the Market Report provides specific business trends as well as local information from a variety of sources including The New York Times, Advertising Age, Nielsen Audio, Edison Research, Labor Statistics for the New York City Region, and BIA/Kelsey.
