Parents Television Council is front and center when there is programming on television it thinks goes beyond the decency pale, and it is not afraid to call out the advertisers who make those programs possible. But it also rewards advertisers who support family-friendly programming – and it is currently shining its positive spotlight on Procter & Gamble.

PTC Director of Public Policy Dan Isett said, “I am here today to applaud Procter & Gamble’s unwavering commitment to responsible corporate advertising standards. Over the years, Procter & Gamble has continuously sponsored family-friendly shows such as ‘Biggest Loser,’ ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars.’”

Isett continued, “As world’s the largest advertiser, such a commitment by P&G is an enormous undertaking. But it is also proof-positive that such a commitment is possible. Your leadership should be envied by corporations around the country and, indeed, around the world.”

He concluded, “On behalf of our 1.3 million members, we proudly commend you and we encourage you to continue to lead corporate America in such a positive direction.”
