Pricey Florida FM Goes for Big Bucks

WJXR has just filed paperwork at the FCC to sell a Florida FM.


WJXR(FM) is licensed to MacClenny, Fla., in the northern part of the state under the Georgia border.

Roberto Sanchez-owned Norsan WJXR, based in Duluth, Ga., is the buyer and provides programming to the station under a Time Brokerage Agreement.

The total purchase price is $1.76M. At closing, the buyer will give the seller $40,000 cash and the balance will financed by the seller with a promissory note. The parties also have a Local Marketing Agreement in place and agree the $10,000 monthly payments will be credited towards the purchase price.

WJXR is a Class C3 FM with an ERP of 25,000 watts @ 328’ HAAT and operates on 92.1 MHz.

Sanchez has an ownership interest in three AMs in the Jacksonville, Florida market: WEWC, Callahan, WNNR, Jacksonville and WVOJ, Fernandina Beach.
