There’s more than full-power television involved in London Broadcasting’s acquisition of the Drewry Communications broadcast group. The four-market deal includes numerous translators and LPTVs, and also involves one FM radio station. And now we also know the price. Terry London will be shelling out $115M in cold hard cash to expand his group out of its Tyler-Longview TX starting point. The key properties in the deal are ABC KXXV-TV in Waco TX; CBS KFDA-TV in Amarillo TX; ABC KSWO-TV in Lawton OK/Wichita Falls TK; and KWES-TV in Odessa-Midland TX. KWES-TV is cross-owned with Spanish Hits KTXC-FM out of Lamesa TX. There are also a number Telemundo affiliates operating on various low-power television facilities. London started his group-to-be last year with the acquisition of CBS KYTX-TV in Tyler-Longview.
