The broadcast networks are pulling out all the promotional stops to let viewers know that their favorite TV shows are returning to the schedule with brand new episodes. Based on early ratings returns, audiences are showing up to watch them, reported Carat Programming.

Britney Spears guest appearance on the second post-strike episode of How I Met your Mother vaulted the comedy to a season high in both total viewers (10.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.5 rating). CSI: Miami’s first post-strike episode delivered nearly 16.1 million total viewers, an increase of 8.3% in the demo versus its final pre-strike episode, which aired back in mid-January. The drama’s ratings performance against Adults 18-49 increased by .6 tenths of a rating point to a 4.9. Both CSI: NY and CSI will be returning to the schedule with post-strike episodes on 4/2 and 4/3 respectively.

Jericho won’t be back for a third season. Its series finale, which aired on Tuesday, March 25, posted just six million total viewers and only a 1.8 rating against Adults 18-49, (that’s 15% below the premiere episode for viewers and 31% below for Adults 18-49).
