On April 14, 2022, a woman who held 80% equity interest in four radio stations passed away. The licensee, however, failed to promptly share this information with the Commission, which ended up giving total ownership of the stations to a Pittsburg, Ks., attorney.
Those are FCC rule violations, but a forfeiture notice isn’t to be handed out. Instead, the Audio Division Chief, Al Shuldiner, is signing a Consent Decree with the individual involved in the matter.
