Pontiac Sale For Cumulus Brings New Life To Silenced FM

In March, a Class B1 FM airing Classic Country music under the “NASH Icon” brand went dark, concluding its service to the Bloomington-Normal, Ill., area from Pontiac, Ill. The station’s owner, Cumulus Media, thought the underperformer would be better as a silent facility than a money-loser. Now, the publicly traded company led by Mary Berner has found a buyer for the facility.
