It presently can be heard on WNVR-AM 1030, a Vernon Hills, Ill.-based radio station. In the recent past, it used a Class B facility licensed to La Grange, Ill., to bring Polish-language full service programming to Chicagoland. Now, Polskie Radio has agreed to sell that AM at 1300 kHz.
WRDZ-AM, a facility that uses 5 towers during daylight hours and 6 towers at night, is being sold to Rebel Chicago Media.
And, in a sign that the future of AM radio remains very much in question as Congress continues to stall on a vote of the AM Radio in Every Vehicle Act, this kHz-band facility with full market coverage was just sold for $30,000.
With the signing of the sale agreement, RCM is paying Polskie Radio $6,781.90. It’s being held by Fletcher Heald & Hildreth, as escrow agent. The remainder will be paid at closing.
Additionally, RCM will pay for the relocation of WRDZ, pursuant to a Special Temporary Authority filing with the Commission.
Who is behind Rebel Chicago Media? It is Scott Davidson, and this marks his first radio property.
