Preston Padden believes many broadcasters will participate in the incentive auction planned for next year and spectrum demand will be so strong “bidders will have to pay dearly to walk away with some of the 600 MHz spectrum.”
Padden has spent the past three years leading a group of television owners who worked to improve the “incentives” to take part in the auction.
He recently stepped down as the executive director of the Expanding Opportunities For Broadcasters Coalition.
