Stillwater, OK-based Oklahoma State University, licensee of KOSU-FM, has agreed to purchase the CP for translator Station K235CG (94.9 mHz) Ponca City, OK from E-String Wireless, Ltd. The purchase price is $45,000.
Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group served as the exclusive broker representing the buyer. He tells RBR-TVBR: “This is a terrific acquisition for OSU which should help it reach additional listeners.”
Ponca City is about 50 miles to the north. While KOSU is 100-kW, its transmitter is nearer to Oklahoma City to the southwest and doesn’t reach Ponca City all that well. See the coverage map of KOSU:
