O’Rielly on the Auction: Simplify


Michael O'RiellyFCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly noted that there will be no Nobel Prize awarded for intricate auction design this year, and suggested that the FCC needs to unravel the web it is constructing. The goal is to attract broadcast participants, not befuddle them. He also suggested the best source for answers may be broadcasters themselves.

He spoke at an NAB session called “The FCC’s Incentive Auction: Makes Solving a Rubik’s Cube Seem Easy.”
