April Rodriguez has moved forward with the acquisition of a trio of FM radio stations in Wyoming, paperwork filed with the FCC on Wednesday for its regulatory approval confirms.


Also in TRANSACTIONS TODAY: AM sales in Phoenix and in Ohio, with the latter brokered by Roger Rafson.

KWHO-FM in Lovell, KROW-FM in Cody, and KBEN-FM in Cowley, Wyo., are being sold to Rodriguez’s Heart Mountain Broadcasting in Powell, Wyo.

The seller is Ed Flanagan-led White Park Broadcasting, which Jacob Silberberg holds the title of VP for.

With Barry Friedman of Thompson Hine LLP serving as Flanagan’s legal counsel, White Park is selling the FMs for $250,000.

Leases with Boca Raton, Fla.-based Vertical Bridge are being transferred to the buyer as part of the transaction.

A $20,000 deposit has been made, with the remainder to be honored via a Promissory Note.

Rodriguez is associated with KPOW-AM in Powell, Wyo., which airs a Talk format.

  • Media Services Group broker Stephen Sloan, in the role of receiver, is signing off on the sale of KXEG-AM & K241CS in Phoenix to KXEG LLC, led by Managing Member Donald Brown. The purchase price is $180,000; Sloan’s broker fee is $25,000.
  • Y-Town Radio Broadcasting and Helen M. Bednarczyk are selling WGFT-AM in Campbell, Ohio and W234CH in Girard, Ohio to Bloom Broadcasting for $225,000. A 10% escrow payment has been made. Serving as the seller’s broker is Roger Rafson of CMS Station Brokerage, Inc. The buyer, led by Karl Bloom, used the legal services of Scott Woodworth of Edinger Associates PLLC. The seller’s legal counsel in this transaction is Allan G. Moskowitz.
