An operator known for its radio, TV and digital offerings focused on Christian-themed programming in the Pacific Northwest has received the Media Bureau’s OK to convert a new noncommercial TV station from a VHF facility to a more desirable UHF channel.
It marks one of the first Report and Order notices from David J. Brown, Chief of Media Bureau’s Video Division, since assuming the role. And, it sees theDove Media get a regulatory OK to change its new facility in Jacksonville, Ore., from Channel 4 to Channel 26.
A comment window was opened for public input; no comments other than that of theDove Media were submitted.
Based in Medford, Ore., theDove has been using live online TV streaming and a network of low-power TV stations across Northern California and Oregon’s I-5 corridor, serving viewers from Vancouver, Wash., south to the Oakland Hills in the San Francisco Bay Area.
