Nielsen ranks top audio formats of 2013 by demo

NielsenAs the year draws to a close, Nielsen has compiled the top 10 rankers of formats in US radio by Persons 6+, 18-34 and 25-54. This year, Nielsen says Country grow among younger listeners and set all-time highs for audience shares across the 48 Nielsen PPM markets; Pop CHR mature by increasing its listening share in the 25-54 demo; News/Talk and Sports made a big rebound during the fall; and both Urban and Hot AC had banner years—among their best ever. Classic Rock continues its downward trend:
