Nielsen Q1 Cross-Platform data shows TV’s scale, stability


Brian WieserBrian Wieser, Senior Research Analyst, Pivotal Research Group, writes that Nielsen published its Q1 ‘14 “Cross-Platform”. As always, the data confirms TV’s breadth of reach and absolute media tonnage. During Q1, 285 million people watched an average of 159 hours of content on traditional + time-shifted (VOD and DVR) TV, equal to 136 billion person hours, up by 1.9% annually.
