According to The Nielsen Company, Nearly 5.5 million households – roughly 6.5 million viewers – tuned into ABC’s “The View” on July 29 to see the interview with President Barack Obama, billed as the first-ever appearance by a sitting president on a daytime talk show.
The President’s daytime appearance did not eclipse the viewership from previous primetime or late night interviews, Nielsen noted, but did exceed his Sunday morning news show appearances.
