WASHINGTON, D.C. — An individual who has played a key role in expanding the company’s distribution relationships and advocacy efforts, previously the SVP of Distribution and Government Affairs, has been given Executive VP stripes at Hearst Television.

Taking the new post is Nick Radziul, who has overseen the company’s partnerships with networks as well as traditional and digital video platforms. Since 2019, he has represented Hearst Television in the Nation’s Capital.

In his new role, Radziul will add oversight of a portion of the company’s portfolio of stations, joining EVPs Ashley Gold and Eric Meyrowitz, as well as New England VP Kyle Grimes in managing operations of the group.

Importantly, Radziul will continue to supervise Hearst Television’s government affairs and its distribution relationships.

All report to Hearst Television President Michael J. Hayes.

“Nick is a multi-dimensional executive and has succeeded in increasingly key roles within Hearst Television and the industry,” Hayes said. “He is widely respected among cable, satellite and digital distribution partners while concurrently leading our efforts with the National Association of Broadcasters, the Federal Communications Commission and on Capitol Hill. He combines an understanding of the regulatory, technological, and business landscape for television broadcasters, while simultaneously he remains guided by our industry’s core mission of journalism and community service. I am confident he will continue to contribute in meaningful ways as he adds these new operational duties.”

Radziul joined Hearst Television in 2016 as VP/Distribution, after holding positions at CBS and Cablevision.

With his 2019 promotion to a distribution and government affairs SVP, Radziul added government relations to his previous responsibilities for the company’s distribution rights agreements, including network affiliations, retransmission consent transactions and program-syndication agreements.

Prior to his work in the media industry, Radziul was a mergers and acquisitions attorney with a degree from Georgetown Law School. Before that, Radziul served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, which included work at the Pentagon.

Radziul is also Vice Chairman of the ABC Television Affiliates Association Board of Governors and is an executive sponsor of Hearst Television’s Family Employee Resource Group.
