Thanks to a coming annexation, converting an unincorporated portion of suburban Chicago into the newest portion of Elk Grove Village, Ill., Nexstar Media Group is giving back to its new municipality.
A portion of the land on which the WGN-AM tower sits is being sold, and six public pickleball courts will be built on part of the parcel. Meanwhile, the current tower is being torn down and replaced.
