DALLAS — Nexstar Media Group has told the SEC in a filing made Friday that it has eliminated the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. As such, Michael Strober will leave the company founded and led by Perry Sook at the end of October.

The filing shares that Strober was notified of the pending erasure of his position at Nexstar, owner of broadcast TV stations, the NewsNation cable TV network, WGN Radio and majority interest holder in The CW Network, on September 30.

Profile photo of Michael StroberStrober’s position was eliminated “in favor of a more streamlined organizational structure,” Nexstar CFO Lee Ann Gliha told the Securities and Exchange Commission in the brief, two-sentence filing.

Nexstar appointed Strober to the EVP/CRO role in January 2023.

Until the start of 2019, Strober had largely been known for his 13-year tenure at Turner, where he rose to EVP of Client Strategy and Ad Innovation from ad sales roles of various positions.
