NewsON, the streaming aggregator of local news content, has a new Director of Sales.
He fills a newly created position at NewsON and joins from Comscore, where he was Director of Business Development.
Taking the post is Dean Mandel, whose resume includes sales management positions at Sokal Media Group, Syncbak, Cox Media Group and Katz Media Group.
NewsON’s VP/General Manager Ron Stitt commented, “Hiring a consummate sales pro like Dean is a milestone and proof positive of the success of NewsON and the leading space we now occupy in the local OTT news ecosystem. Dean is well known both to buyers and the local broadcast community. We’re confident he will elevate our profile and attract new business that will benefit all of our partners.”
Mandel added, “I have always believed that the local TV News viewer is extremely valuable to advertisers. NewsON’s ability to aggregate local news content on a CTV/OTT platform that makes it easy for agencies and brands to buy, is needed in the video ecosystem. I am excited to join the NewsON team.”
