NewsNation Picks Presidents For Key Roles

The MVPD-distributed news and information network owned by Nexstar Media Group has named its President of News to a larger role as President of Programming & Specials.


At the same time, it is promoting from within to select a President and Managing Editor of News & Politics.

Now in the chief programming role at NewsNation is Michael Corn.

In the News and Politics role is Cherie Grzech.

Both executives signed new multi-year agreements with the network and will report directly to Sean Compton, President of Nexstar’s Networks division.

Corn will relocate full-time to the New York bureau and focus on growing the network’s flagship programs. Under his leadership, NewsNation’s three prime-time programs have
increased their total audience year-over-year.

Corn was named President of News in May 2021. Previously, he served as Senior Executive Producer of ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”

Grzech has overseen numerous presidential candidate Town Halls and set up all newsgathering operations for the organization in her time at NewsNation. Before that, Grzech worked at FOX News for over a decade, where she was Vice President of the Washington D.C. bureau serving as a liaison to all presidential candidates and debates.
