'New Girl' and 'Glee' keep Fox in the ratings game

Week two of NEW GIRL was once again Tuesday’s highest rated program among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.


Airing its Tuesday comedies GLEE, NEW GIRL and RAISING HOPE, FOX won last night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.  

In fact, FOX doubled the delivery of the next highest rated network last night among young Adults 18-34 (4.0/12 vs. CBS’ 2.0/6).

Week two of NEW GIRL was once again Tuesday’s highest rated program among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

At 8p, GLEE posted a 3.6/10 among Adults 18-49, retaining 90% of its season premiere and on par with its late Spring’11 performance. GLEE was the highest rated program of the night among Teens, and won its 8p time period among Adults 18-34 and Women 18-49.

Week two of NEW GIRL delivered a 4.4/11 among Adults 18-49 and retained 92% of its series debut last week, the highest week two retention for a new show so far this season (vs. 4.8/12).

At 9:30p, RAISING HOPE posted a 2.9/7 among Adults 18-49, retaining 94% of its premiere rating last week.  RAISING HOPE won its 9:30p half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens and ranked #2 among Adults 18-49.

NEW GIRL and RAISING HOPE once again combined to win the 9p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Competition

Following a DWTS recap (1.8/5) at 8p, ABC’s Dancing With The Stars Results show (2.8/7, down -3%) was on par with its premiere last Tuesday, but through two weeks is down -29% from its comparable performance last fall (2.9/7 vs. 4.1/11). At 10p, Body of Proof delivered its lowest-rated telecast ever (1.9/5, down -14%).

On CBS, NCIS (4.2/12, down -2%) and NCIS: Los Angeles (3.5/9, down -3%) were on par with their premieres last Tuesday, while week two of new 10p drama Unforgettable (2.5/6) dropped -14% from its premiere (2.9/8) and retained only 71% of its lead-in rating, down from 81% last week.

On NBC, The Biggest Loser (2.2/6, down -4%) posted its lowest regular original rating in over five years (since 1.5/4 on 3/8/2006). At 10p, Parenthood (2.2/6, up +5%) was on par with its prior average.
