Mark June 21, 2017 on your calendars if you plan on flying to Munich, Germany, to learn the latest about digital audio and the “connected car.”

Car makers and their suppliers will get to meet broadcasters from across Europe at WorldDAB Automotive 2017, to be held at the Holiday Inn Munich-City Centre, located within walking distance of Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station.

Hosted by WorldDAB, this unique and free event brings together auto manufacturers with EU stakeholder groups, Tier 1 suppliers to the automotive industry and representatives from commercial and public broadcasters.

A dedicated exhibition area with demonstrations and products from the radio and automotive industries along with networking breaks, will give guests a unique opportunity to learn more and make valuable connections.

“As digital radio coverage continues to grow across Europe, attendees can find out the latest information on coverage, new content on-air, and joint digital radio automotive initiatives,” WorldDAB notes. “Attendees can also find out how broadcasters are working on ensuring the roll-out of digital radio benefits drivers.”

There will also be a discussion on the impact of Norway’s digital switchover on the automotive sector.

Additionally, there will be an insight session into the work of WorldDAB’s Automotive User Experience (UX) Group, which aims to improve the digital radio listening experience in the car.

A draft program is forthcoming.
