NCTA To FCC: Mandatory NEXTGEN TV Carriage Unconstitutional

Across the last week, no less than six ECFS submissions have been presented to the FCC on behalf of NCTA-The Internet & Television Association. The comments range on everything from an IP interconnection notice of proposed rulemaking to upper C-Band matters.


Yet, there’s one filing that begs attention from all in broadcast television. As the association sees it, extending mandatory carriage rights to ATSC 3.0 TV stations “would violate the Constitution” of the United States of America.
