NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ Cowboys vs Eagles a run away

From 8:30-11:45 p.m., NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, featuring the Dallas Cowboys at the Philadelphia Eagles, averaged a 14.3/23 in metered-market households. 


Fast affiliate-based ratings currently available from Nielsen are not time zone-adjusted and are subject to significant revision for live events such as football.  While those numbers are likely to shift somewhat in official nationals, they currently show the game finishing #1 in 18-49, total viewers and other key ratings categories from 8:30-11 p.m. 

NBC is also currently #1 for the night in 18-49, total viewers and most other key categories in fast affiliate-based ratings that are subject to significant revision.

NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is the #1 program of the night in the metered markets (excludes overruns of NFL day games) on a night that included ABC’s DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and BROTHERS & SISTERS, CBS’s 60 MINUTES and AMAZING RACE and Fox’s CLEVELAND SHOW and FAMILY GUY.  Head-to-head from 9-10 p.m., the Cowboys-Eagles game out-rated ABC’s DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES in the metered markets by a margin of 80% (14.8 vs. 8.2 in that hour).

NBC is #1 for the night in metered-market households, with the network’s highest Sunday average (11.2/18) since September 20.
