NBC w/ 'America's Got Talent' winner and the new Idol

NBC won Wednesday night in total viewers for a fifth consecutive week. 


At 8 p.m.. ET, “Minute To Win It” (1.4/5 in adults 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories. 

From its first half-hour to its second, “Minute” grew in all key ratings categories, including gains of 15 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.3) and 11 percent in total viewers (5.6 million vs. 5.0 million).

“Minute To Win It” set season highs for a Wednesday telecast in 18-49 and total viewers. 

At 9 p.m. ET, “America’s Got Talent” (3.5/10 in 18-49, 12.5 million viewers overall) scored the night’s #1 rating on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. 

“Talent” built on its lead-in by 150 percent in 18-49 and 135 percent in total viewers.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Talent” grew by 19 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.8 from a 3.2) and 20 percent or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (13.6 million vs. 11.4 million).

“America’s Got Talent” won its time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demos (including a tie with Fox in women 18-34). 

Last night’s telecast is up 17 percent versus NBC’s averages in the Wednesday 9-10 p.m. ET hour last summer (with a 3.5 rating vs. a 3.0 in 18-49, L+SD, non-sports) and by 8 percent in total viewers (12.511 million vs. 11.564 million).

At 10 p.m. ET, “Love in the Wild” (1.9/5 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) is #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demos (including a tie with CBS in women 25-54).  “Love in the Wild” is up 12 percent versus NBC’s  average in the time period last summer in 18-49 (1.9 vs. 1.7, L+SD, non-sports).
