NBC upbeat on Loser numbers

Tuesday Results:


* From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Biggest Loser 13” (2.3/6 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in the time period in adults 18-49 and #1 among women 25-54 in a slot that included competition from Fox’s “Glee,” “The New Girl” and “Raising Hope,” ABC’s “Last Man Standing” and “Celebrity Wife Swap” and CBS’s encore telecasts of “NCIS” and “NCIS: LA.”  “The Biggest Loser ” out-rated ABC’s “Celebrity Wife Swap” head to head from 9-10 p.m ET in 18-49 (with a 2.4 rating that hour vs. a 2.1).

* “The Biggest Loser 13” grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 19 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 2.1) and ranked #1 for its final half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and other key demos.
 
* At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34 versus CBS’s encore “Unforgettable” and ABC’s original “Body of Proof.”  Note that “Parenthood” has been adding 43 percent to these next-day “live plus same day” ratings when Nielsen issues “live plus seven day” results.

* NBC is #2 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 in women 25-54.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

* In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.8/7; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 2.5/6; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 3.5/8; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.6/5. 

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.8/4; “Late Show,” 0.6/3; “Nightline,” 1.1/5; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/3.
