Ten-year-old singing phenom Jackie Evancho is among the stars who will help light the giant tree for NBC’s 13th annual “Christmas in Rockefeller Center.”  The star-studded holiday special will also feature performances by Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Charice, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Katherine Jenkins, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Jessica Simpson and The Radio City Rockettes with a mix of current hits and holiday classics.

NBC’s live broadcast will be Tuesday, November 30 (8-9 pm ET, tape delayed for PT). And while it’s the 13th broadcast of the event by NBC, the tradition goes back much further. Rockefeller Center has been erecting a giant Christmas tree for 78 years. This year’s tree is 74 feet high, 40 feet in diameter and weighs a whopping 12 tons.

Prior to this year’s primetime telecast, WNBC-TV, NBC’s New York flagship station, and several other affiliates nationwide will broadcast an additional live hour of the special (7-8 pm ET).

Natalie Morales and Al Roker of “Today” will host the special.

“Christmas in Rockefeller Center” is produced by Brad Lachman Productions with Lachman serving as executive producer.  Bill Bracken is producer.
