NATPE Global To Return To Miami, Under New Owners

TORONTO — Brunico Communications, the company that stages such events as the Banff World Media Festival and is the publisher of four screen and production-focused titles, on January 3 received judiciary approval of its previously announced purchase of the assets of NATPE, which declared bankruptcy in 2022 after nixing a January 2023 Bahamas conference.

The acquisition led some to believe that the NATPE Miami global conference and expo, formerly held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and planned but cancelled for a shift to the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, Bahamas, would relocate to Canada.

That isn’t happening. NATPE Global is returning to Miami, but not the Fontainebleau.

NATPE Global is instead heading to the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Miami, a longtime five-star hub for gala events and conferences situated in the heart of the city, across the Intracoastal Waterway from Miami Beach.

With networking “at the heart of NATPE Global,” Brunico has announced NATPE Global Miami tracks including Development, Content Licensing and Platform Distribution.

The dates of the reborn NATPE Global conference are January 16-18, 2024 — in line with the previous conference conducted under its former management,

“The entertainment industry is exploding with change, creating new distribution opportunities and innovative ways to monetize content,” Brunico President/CEO Russell Goldstein said. “At the same time, securing early access to new hit programming has never been more competitive or crucial. NATPE Global brings the entire media ecosystem together under one umbrella to do business in the world’s most valuable market for content.”
