ARLINGTON, VA. — The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB), now a division of the U.S. Black Chambers Inc. (USBC), will host the 47th Annual Fall Broadcast & Media Management Conference and 23rd Annual Power of Urban Radio Forum from October 4-6 at the Washington Marriott Georgetown Hotel.

The NABOB & Power of Urban Radio Conference is the only media conference wholly dedicated to the growth of Black-owned media, broadcast radio, broadcast television, digital publishing, and media sales professionals. The three-day event brings together Black broadcast media owners, senior advertising and marketing executives, local sales management, leading on-air talent, policy leadership, entrepreneurs, cultural creatives, and corporate executives.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Black-owned radio, the conference theme, Undeniable 75: 75 Years of Black Owned Radio’s Resilience, Impact, and Influence, will recognize key contributors, contributions, and key moments in the evolution of Black-owned radio. Festivities will also include an ode to Black radio DJs during a 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop “Salute The DJ” kickoff reception.

The Power of Urban Radio Forum will feature CEOs and leadership from Urban One, iHeart Media, Perry Broadcasting, Beasley Media Group and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB).

Senior media and marketing executives from dentsu, Publicis Media, GroupM, AARP, American Urban Radio Networks (AURN), and Hearts & Science will also be on-site to discuss the status of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) commitments made to Black-owned media.
