The fight for the survival of AM radio in the in-dash audio entertainment systems found in all vehicles sold in the U.S. is very much a battle that will ensure access to multicultural programming, including stations owned by and serving the Black community in towns and cities from coast to coast.
Now, sensing a threat to his organization’s members, the President and CEO of theĀ National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters is calling on Members of the Congressional Black Caucus to do what it can to keep AM free and available in an omnipresent way when on the road and a radio is needed.
