Bill Wachter has engaged in a transaction that will see stations assigned to his own corporation get transferred to the group he serves as President of and is controlled by David Murfin.

Murfin Media, the operational name of Wichita-headquartered My Town Media Inc., has agreed to purchase the following stations from Wachter’s One Media Inc.:

  • KRZD-AM in Springfield, Mo.
  • KWKN-FM in WaKeeney, Ks., a small city on the I-70 corridor between Colorado and Missouri
  • KSHQ-FM in Deerfield, Mo., serving Pittsburg, Ks., from the north and covering Fort Scott and Frontenac

A $275,000 purchase price has been reached, which will formally bring Wachter’s properties into a group with several properties across the region.

Signing off on the deal for My Town is President Robert D. Young.

KRZD operates as Adult Hits “107.5 BOB FM,” using FM translator K298CI; KWKN is Talk “The Cowboy 95.3”; and KSHQ is “ESPN 100.7.” All are already being operated by Murfin.
