Most Equity Media stations sold at auction

Thursday was the bidding deadline for the full- and low-power stations being sold off in the bankruptcy auction of Equity Media assets. Most had winning bids submitted.

Preliminary word on the auction is that winning bids totaled just over $21 million. Daystar was the biggest buyer, picking up about a dozen full-power and LPTV stations for $7.4 million.

Not all of the 104 properties were sold. A few were pulled back, so the brokers at Patrick Communications are still in negotiations on those.
