DirecTV says it has added local-to-local HD channels in two more markets, bringing its count to 121 markets.
The latest additions are Beaumont-Port Arthur, TX and Dothan, AL. With their addition, DirecTV says it is making local HD available in markets covering more than 88% of US television households.
For the Beaumont-Port Arthur market, the satellite service is now offering HD broadcasts from KBMT-TV (ABC), KFDM-TV (CBS) and KBTV-TV (Fox).
For the Dothan market, DirecTV is now offering subscribers HD signals from WDHN-TV (ABC), WTVY-TV (CBS) and WDFX-TV (Fox).
