It was once majority-owned by Mexican citizen Juan Carlos Rodriguez, the Coral Gables, Fla.-based Managing Member of Deportes y Música Comunicaciones LLC. Of late, the station has been licensed to the MMTC Broadcasting LLC arm of the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council.
Now, the MMTC is selling this Arizona FM to a minority buyer.
KRPH-FM 99.5 in rural Morristown, Ariz., between Wickenburg and the Prescott Valley, is being spun to Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Jeff Chang.
With Kathleen Victory of Fletcher Heald & Hildreth serving as Chang’s legal counsel, he’s agreed to acquire the station for $7,500.
However, the transaction does not include the current lease for KRPH’s transmitter site, meaning Chang needs to find a new one or negotiate his own lease agreement.
Also excluded from the transaction are the KRPH tower, studio space, all payables and receivables, all station intellectual property and all customer and advertiser lists and accounts.
