Another Big Week At Spot Cable For LiMu Emu

0

It’s the last week of 2025 for brands to build consumer awareness and sales through TV spots, and at cable TV networks tracked by Media Monitors, the play count crown goes to LiMu Emu and Doug.

Barely a household name 15 years ago, Liberty Mutual Insurance has gone from obscurity to dominance thanks to kitschy pseudo-retro campaigns featuring a 1970s-styled hapless specialist/investigator and his fowl sidekick

For the week ending December 28, the LiMu spots totaled more than 75,800, easily topping a controversial Christmas campaign from Coca-Cola derided by many for its use of AI to recreate a beloved effort from years gone by.

There is also big efforts from Domino’s and from Lysol, just as a nasty strep throat and flu is gripping much of the U.S. To that end, Mucinex increased its spot efforts at Spot Cable, too.

Lastly, credit HBO Max and Gold Bond for new efforts that place each brand within the Spot Ten.

How does the Spot Ten TV report look by comparison?

Here, iHeartMedia-owned Media Monitors shows Lysol spots rocketing into the top three while Gold Bond and Mucinex are also highly active — making it a rare week when both Spot Cable and Spot TV are seeing strong activity from the same brands.

Then, there is pharmaceutical brand Tremfya, taking the crown at Spot TV while No. 5 at Spot Cable.
