James D. Ingstad and his Radio Fargo-Moorhead have a deal to acquire KSKK-FM Staples MN, but if Staples remains its city of license, the deal will be off.
Ingstad of seller David De La Hunt will be applying to move the station west to the fringe of the Fargo ND-Moorhead MN market as a Class C3.
The value of the deal, if the move is approved, will be $900K cash.
The parties noted in the contract that the contemplated more is technically feasible. They both pledged to work together to get the necessary CPs moving through the regulatory pipeline. And the seller will keep the call letters.
The resulting station will be tangential to Ingtad’s other holdings in the market, situated to the east of the other stations with scant overlap.
The other stations include KQWB AM-FM, KBVB-FM, KLTA-FM and KPFX-FM.
