SoldIf a station is unable to project a primary contour over a rated radio market, is the next best thing the ability to project secondary contours over two markets? That’s what’s happening in this deal. Broker: Jason James, Patrick Communications

The station is WHMI-FM Howell MI.

The seller is Livingston Radio, headed by Greg and Marcia Jablonski.

The buyer is Krol Communications Inc., headed by President Rodney Krol.

The price is $3,500,000 cash.

WHMI-FM is a Class A on 93.5 MHz with 5.2 kW @ 354’. Serving the area between Detroit to its east and Lansing to its west, if projects its outer contours to both locations.

Beyond its dual-market capability, the station has a firmer claim to viability – localism. James noted, “It is the only station centered and focused on serving the community of Livingston County.”
