Michigan AM Gets Warning For Power Output, EAS Rule Flaws

A Class B AM radio station serving Spanish-language audiences between Ann Arbor and Detroit could face a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture from the FCC for a series of Emergency Alert System (EAS) violations — including monitoring the wrong Local Primary Stations as designated by the Commission.


Even worse, this station failed to power down at night and was using too much power during daylight hours.
