According to Arbitron, Miami is the 12th largest radio market with a population of 3,647,200. The #1 radio advertiser in that market last week was The Home Depot with 1,075 spots. 1-800-411-PAIN was #2 with 1,011 ads, while 1-800-NEEDHELP was #2 airing 833 spots. GEICO drove into #4 from #11 with 820 spots and Chase Bank was #5 with 673 commercials. AutoZone was #6 with 672 spots and McDonald’s was #7 running 529 ads. Univision was #8 with 450 spots, while Kendall – West Kendall Toyota Scion took #9 with 412 spots. Coming in #10 was the HD Digital Radio Alliance with 389 announcements.


The #1 Discount Department store in the land last week was WAL-MART with 22,287 spots. Coming #2 was MEIFER with 2,403 ads, while SAVERS landed in #3 with 501 commercials. OCEN STATE JOB LOT was #4 with 333 ads and FAMILY DOLLAR was #5 running 318 spots. KMART was in at #6 airing 205 announcements, while OLLIE’S BARGAIN OUTLET was #7 with 162 spots. BI-MART was #8 with 148 spots and CARGO LARGO was #9 with 137 spots. TARGET was #10 with only 124 spots nationwide.

NATIONAL STATISTICS 
On the national radio front, THE HOME DEPOT maintained its vice-liked grip on #1 running 55,751 spots. GEICO held at #2 with 43,814, while AUTOZONE jumped back up to #3 with 34,202 ads. MCDONALD’S held at #4 with 27,129 spots and WAL-MART moved from #9 to #5 with 22,287 spots.
