Memorial service planned for Brian Carter

There will be a memorial service former Power 99 FM and WDAS-FM morning personality Brian Carter on Wednesday, 5/2. The service will take place at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church beginning at 10:00 AM. 


Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller will preside. Speakers will include Carter’s former partner Dave Sanborn, (Bill Simpson),  Loraine Ballard Morrill Director of News and Community Affairs for Clear Channel Media+Entertainment, former Carter and Sanborn co-host CeCe McGhee, Former Power 99 FM PD/GM Dave Allan, WDAS’s Patty Jackson, and CBS 3’s Ukee Washington. Gospel artist Tamika Patton will perform a solo at the service.

Brian Carter was laid to rest on Saturday at King Memorial Park in his hometown of Baltimore. Carter passed away on 4/22 of a heart attack at the age of 54.  Carter was one half of the morning show “Carter and Sanborn in the Morning” which aired on Power 99 fm from 1987 to 1999 and on WDAS FM in 2005. Brian recently worked at WBLS in New York and Sirius-XM.  Fans can post their condolences on Power 99 FM and WDAS FM’s Facebook pages. Brian leaves behind wife Sandra Carter, adult children Jordon, Angela and eight year old Natalie Carter.
