The Director of Sales for Capitol Broadcasting Co.’s WRAL-5 and WRAZ-50 in Raleigh-Durham is returning to Sinclair Broadcast Group to take on the top leadership post at its FOX affiliate serving the capital of the Old Dominion.
Now in the post of VP/GM of WRLX-35 in Richmond is Shuneca Harrington.
She reports to Sinclair Chief Operating Officer and President of Local Media Rob Weisbord, who says the company is “thrilled” Shuneca is returning to Sinclair to oversee WRLH. “She is a data-focused, creative leader with proven success in revenue driving and performance management, and we look forward to building on our momentum in the market under her leadership,” Weisbord said.
Harrington started her career as an Account Executive at WLFL “The CW 22” in Raleigh, a Sinclair property. Since then, she has served asGeneral Sales Manager for WRBL-TV in Columbus, Ga.; Local Sales Manager for Norfolk’s WAVY-TV and WVBT-TV; and as Digital Sales Manager, National and Local Sales Manager for WNCN-TV in Raleigh.
Harrington said, “Rejoining the Sinclair family and leading the already successful team at WRLH is a full circle moment. I am thrilled to return to Virginia to serve our viewers, advertisers, and partners in the Richmond community.”
Harrington remains committed to public service through her membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and through her work as a United Way volunteer.
