From January 2004 through May 2009, it was a popular Puerto Rico-based music competition series that aired on Univision Puerto Rico and across the mainland U.S. on the former TeleFutura network.
Now, it is being brought back in a “revival” courtesy of the media company under the direction of Albert Rodriguez.
EstrellaTV, the multiplatform Spanish-language network owned by MediaCo Holding Inc., is bringing a new version of Objetivo Fama to Hispanic consumers across the U.S. and its territories.
The new season of the reborn Objetivo Fama will begin on August 2, with weekly primetime episodes airing for 14 consecutive weeks on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Episodes will appear on EstrellaTV’s national broadcast network, on its EstrellaTV FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channel and live and on-demand through the EstrellaTV app. EstrellaTV will also amplify the series across its social media platforms.
“Objetivo Fama is more than just a music show: It’s a journey that transforms lives,” said Rodriguez, MediaCo’s CEO. “We are thrilled to bring incredible live musical storytelling and competition show to our viewers and advertisers.”
Objetivo Fama will see 20 aspiring artists live together and train in a custom-built House Studio, where their personal and artistic transformations “will unfold before viewers’ eyes — filmed 24/7.”
Soraya Sánchez, Executive Producer of Objetivo Fama, commented, “Objetivo Fama returns with a bold new vision that goes far beyond a music competition. We’ve created a format where discipline, creativity, and personal transformation unfold in real time, allowing audiences to truly connect with each artist’s journey. This new chapter honors the show’s legacy while speaking directly to a new generation of dreamers.”
