Jody McCoy, Director of Media Services Group, was elected to serve a two-year term as President of the National Association of Media Brokers (NAMB) as the group met last week in Philadelphia. Elected vice president was Mark Jorgenson, the founding partner of Jorgenson Broadcast Brokerage.

The new secretary of NAMB is Roger Rafson, the owner of CMS Station Brokerage. Glenn Serafin of Serafin Bros. is the new treasurer.

Also at the session, the NAMB presented its Distinguished Service Award to Perry Sook, CEO of Nexstar Broadcasting Group, for his leadership on the retransmission consent issue with the cable TV industry. NAMB noted that the initiative created billions of dollars of revenue for the over-the-air television industry.

Also honored at the annual meeting was the NAMB’s immediate past president, Andy McClure, president of The Exline Company.
